Re: MX Updater, Updates ausblenden?

Using MX Updater's default 'View and Upgrade' mode, it's basically all or nothing for upgrades, you can't individually select which packages you want upgraded or held back. I have no plans to add that capability to MX Updater, if you want to select individual packages for upgrade I would suggest usi...

Re: Building Chrome but repository chooses older version...

Like Tim said, you need to add a deb-src repo, but I'm pretty sure one's not available for any of the dl.google.com chrome repos. The Debian buster repo has 62.0.3202.89-1 in it: https://packages.debian.org/source/buster/chromium-browser, the Debian sid repo has 66.0.3359.139-1: https://packages.deb...

I didn't know there was a nonsse2 version.

I'm in MX-16 right now and it's not in it's repos, must be for MX-17 only.

Re: Firefox no inicia

En portátiles algo antiguos funcionan muy bien los navegadores Palemoon y SlimJet, con Vivaldi el problema es el tema de reproducir vídeos al igual que con Opera. Current versions of our Palemoon package say SSE2 is required. Description: Firefox-based, efficient and easy to use web browser Pale Mo...

Re: Firefox no inicia

Maybe Seamonkey.

I don't see a requirement for SSE2 here https://www.seamonkey-project.org/doc/s ... quirements for Linux, it is required for the Windows version.

Re: Firefox no inicia

Firefox 53 and up requires a CPU with SSE2 support.

Does the following show sse2 in the Flags section?

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxxxf
(maybe someone else can translate this)

The sid source, https://packages.debian.org/source/sid/falkon, doesn't specify any particular version of Qt5. (or was it left out by mistake?)

Re: List of initial packages (.manifest file) ?

...You'd get a list of just the packages installed by yourself... although you'll get dependencies (libs etc) in the list that you maybe don't need, but you could filter those out. Here's a oneliner without the intermediate files. The output appears in the terminal, you can redirect it to a file if...

Re: MX(LX)Qt ??

...added the mx repo and installed MX updater but it doesn't seem to be working on its own, as in if I leave it alone for a long time, it doesn't seem to run an update check. So the empty box icon never turns green on its own. I've changed mirrors a few times with no success. If I do an apt update ...

Re: woogaloo (beta): GUI for performing hodgepodge system tasks

We could add a warning to the entry about that, if there's enough room, or have it pop up a secondary dialog like some of the others. (says the guy who doesn't know how to implement that) I was thinking maybe a "keep dpkg logs" checkbox or something. I haven't looked at how hard it would be to impl...
