No. With the test repo enabled an upgrade sees all those packages as upgradable and proceeds. If you must use Synaptic enable the test repo, reload, install your package and then immediately disable it and reload. If using the CLI do the same, enable, reload,install, disable reload.. You should use MX package Installer Test Repo tab. It will enable the test repo, install the app you want and then automatically disable the repo. By manually enabling the repo you upgraded all apps in test. This is not advisable. Apps are in test as they have not been fully vetted. And if there is ...

I use Lastpass as well. The potential disadvantage is that your passwords are on someone else's server. If hacked, well you know the result. There is a free plan and subscription plan with more features. On the positive side Lastpass works very well and your master password is not known by them. It ...

From the menu>Multimedia>VLC Media player. Right click on it then Edit Application. In front of the command put optirun and save it. Make sure to put a space between optirun and the rest of the command.

D-O tells you in many of his videos he keeps a Live USB thumb drive and sometimes uses it as a full system. He has also done videos while using a Live USB.
