It is not necessary to use language that is insulting to another user. You could make your suggestions without such language. Edit your post removing that language.

Re: MX Updater Ap-Notifier Issue needs permanent solution.

I had a similar issue with MX 17, but with 17.1 it has loaded without issue.

Re: New MX sticker for my laptop

The pyramids go back to our forebear Mepis. It sounded to whoever created some artwork for Mepis like Memphis ala Egypt. Of course the name Mepis had nothing to do with Memphis. As I understand it the word Mepis came about from a garbled word in a phone conversation between its creator Warren Woodfo...

Re: Start icons

@colin_b, Regarding your last 2 posts, for each and every picture , you will need to check the copyright. If there are no express terms permitting distribution/modification for a particular wallpaper, then you have to seek the creator's express permission. The MX community wallpaper page has a link...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Backported Debian Kernel Thread

neither seem familiar. I tried the modprobe solution but got a failure to find the added line. I thought there was another way to another way to blacklist the radeon driver without editing /etc/default grub, Tried another method to blacklist the radeon driver. I edited /etc/modeprobe.d by adding a b...

Re: REQUEST: QuiteRSS

Certainly use what you are comfortable with, I just want to point out that MX Package Installer is an option. I am a Synaptic fan and it is the first thing I installed when using other distros that did not have it by default. I became impressed with the features of MXPI and use it regularly. It is n...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Backported Debian Kernel Thread

I installed the 4.17 kernel. I thought the amdgpu driver was installed by default with this kernel. However it was not on my system. I have forgotten how to enable the driver. Can you guide me?

Re: REQUEST: QuiteRSS

Quite right in not keeping the test repo active. An easier way to do it is to use the MX package Installer. Click the full app catalogue tab and then MX test repo. The repo will be updated and you can install the package you want. Once installed the test repo will be automatically disabled.
