The it repo was chosen is that I had a VPN active, By the way in this case it was valid. If VPN disabled it chooses us. EDIT: netselect-apt does not actually choose the repo, it adds it to the repo list as verified by opening synaptic and viewing repos. It was only activated when running MX repo man...

I ran netselect-apt and it chose the it debian repo. Then ran MX repo manager. it was not in the list but checking for fastest resulted in the it showing up and selected.

In XFCE dpi is easily set in Settings Manager/Appearance/Fonts.

EDIT: There is also a wiki article for high resolution displays.

Tor and Privoxy are available via the MX Package Installer/Popular Applications/Network. I am not sure of the release number, the configuration or if the browser is included as I messed with it some time ago and just opted for a VPN. The Tor browser is available from their website and should install...
