I run a computer with MX 23 KDE and 16 GB of ram. It typically uses 3 GB to 4 GB with whatever it is running, including a web browser, and any of the LibreOffice programs. I have never had an issue. So I would say 8 GB is sufficient. I have also used XFCE without issue.

A phpBB extension provides the function. I would not want to change that script. It also appears to work for the users who have made use of it. Can you whitelist the Forum in ublock?

Try another browser or incognito mode in your browser to eliminate an issue with whatever you are using.

That is irritating. I have somewhat the opposite my bank blocks if I am using a VPN. As does Imgur.
