Re: More translation: mx-network-assistant

Great to see this, thanks! It's nice that many of the languages start with already 82% translation completed. That's because we used the strings from mx-broadcom-manager, only the ones that changed need to be translated, I tried to simply things, for example your suggesting to use "Re-scan&quo...

Re: Time tracking

Sounds great for people who use this kind of thing, would it be possible to add this to test repo at least?

Monthly snapshot announcement

Monthly snapshots of MX-16.1 are up: http://bit.ly/mx-monthly about 100 packages got updated since July. As usual, snapshots are not for people who already have MX Linux installed, they are for people who want to run up-to-date Live environment or who want to install on computer without having to in...

Re: Qt version in MX 16.1

I think MX16.1 will be kept in sync with Jessie (probably too troublesome to update important libs it would break too many programs), while MX17 will use whatever Qt version Stretch is using.
However the packaging team might offer newer version in "test" repo, but I cannot speak for them .

Re: About Startup programs Delaying the time ?

Do you have that in ~/.config/autostart ?
Where do you autolaunch the program right now? If it there you can edit that file if not you can add one.

Re: MX14: failed upgrade of adobe flash with Flash Manager

Thanks for the feedback, I'm the original writer of the mx-flash program, it's a valid point you make, we should probably even remove the mx-flash from MX14 like we did in MX16.1 or just install one that displays a helping message instructing people to install adobe-flashplugin. I have to say though...

Re: About Startup programs Delaying the time ?

See the first two responses:

It looks like the first one is the "correct" way, but haven't tried it, I'm sure the second one would work.

Re: Can't add menu item to UFI boot menu

I upgraded mx-bootrepair to be able to install on ESP, if you want to give it a try get the latest deb from here: https://github.com/MX-Linux/mx-bootrepair/raw/master/mx-bootrepair_17.8mx16_amd64.deb Can't guarantee it will work, is not fully tested but it should install on ESP (EFI System Partition...

Re: live usb maker

Because I was up past my bedtime.

That's sometime the best reason. Tell me about it, I went to bed at 5am...

That's why I think it is best to leave it as-is.

Works for me, as some people say "perfect is the enemy of good" I found that particularly true in coding.
