Re: mx-snapshot 8.9 FAT32 et NTFS

Thanks for the bug report we might get somewhere. Can you try the new build from here: https://github.com/MX-Linux/mx-snapshot ... _amd64.deb
If it works fine we'll upload to the pool.

Re: Firefox deserves the boot!

That's certainly related to FF's internal calling-home "telemetry" build-ins, which even for experts seem to be not possible to fully get rid of. I saw this post and discussion on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/linux/comments/9hh3gc/to_unsuspecting_admins_firefox_continues_to_send/ Seems like the...

Re: mx-snapshot 8.9 FAT32 et NTFS

You are running out of space on /tmp "df -k --output=avail /tmp 2>/dev/null | tail -n1" "2891720 That's 2.8 GB free space, while you want to save at least a 8.1GB root + /home if you save that. Re: mx-snapshot 8.9 FAT32 et NTFS

I tested on my system with the latest mx-snapshot, I was able to create a ISO on a NTFS flashdrive, so whatever problem you are having might be specific to your system. Monitor your free space with "df", see if you are running out of space, also it might help if you run mx-snapshot from the terminal...

Re: mx-snapshot 8.9 FAT32 et NTFS

We make it possible to save to non-Linux file systems only on August 12. So what happened for you between August 12 and now that you cannot save anymore to FAT32 (BTW, you cannot write files larger than 4GB on FAT32) and NTFS? Any error message? You cannot select the partition? Give us a clue what's...

It should follow your general options in Settings -> Appearance -> Fonts. Doesn't work for you?

Re: Transfer Windows 8 installation to a new drive

I do think you need to start the computer in UEFI mode though, otherwise there might be issues if you start it in legacy BIOS and you try to copy a UEFI/GPT Windows partition
