Change /etc/mx-snapshot.conf, see this section:

Let me know if it work, I don't think I ever tested this feature.

If you don't like it takes 45 minutes, you can space for time and use "lz4" compression that should finish in few minutes (depending on drive speed, size of the installation, etc).

Usually it's not a problem, it gets a bit tricky if you uninstall/install packages or change settings, what file version would the snapshot pick, not sure...
