I did rfkill unblock all then: ifconfig wlan0 up then right clicked on the network manager icon but trying to enable wifi does not work. I have looked at the different HP manuals trying to find one that showed the exact model I have and none have shown the same right side / left side views that I have. I found my answer - I had to do this: sudo mkdir /var/lib/mysql-files
