The answer is no, because AFAIK the only standard USB size <2gb is 1gb.
If you want a portable live-USB (to use on any computer), a much larger one is recommended.

I don't mind the ugliness, and it is big enough when I change my display setting from 1600x1200 to 1024x768.
Actually I rather like it, although I wish it could be enlarged more easily.
It does work, and is very comprehensive.

You could try to create a new user: if that works copy the contents of the original user's home folder.

To create a new user from the root CLI :-
useradd -m NEWUSERNAME
works for me: you then have to do
passwd NEWUSERNAME

useradd -m USERNAME
works for me: you then have to do
passwd USERNAME
But I don't know whether it will work on Mauser's broken system :crossfingers: .
