W11 and W10 are OK if you install Firefox, Libreoffice and SeamonkeyMail. And refuse all Microsoft's "offers".

BTW, I use Brave myself and we even get some minor donations from people who browse the forum and use Brave with Brave rewards on but I don't feel the need to promote it l...

Update:-
Now booted from an ssd which mimics the DVD.
Works fine and no longer slow, as it was from the real DVD.

The system running here now was booted from a DVD and it is working perfectly except that the DVD makes it slow.
Nothing has been written to hdd/dvd: it is working entirely from RAM.
