Re: Upgrade Antix 15 > 17 and Stretch [SOLVED]

turtlebay,
I thought you said Antix15, not MX15?
MX15 fully updated is IMO pretty much equal to MX17.

Re: Upgrade Antix 15 > 17 and Stretch [SOLVED]

Have you tried MX15(32bit) on that old thing?
I find that MX1532 works well for wordprocessing, emailing, photo viewing and non-video web browsing on an old eeepc901.

I want to buy a 2g Ram so that it supports with this same ram
.......
Not recommended.
Best to get a matched pair of 2g sticks.
If you must keep your existing stick, get another 1g stick to match it.

Re: Total beginner looking for LiveCD instructions

duane,
32-bit XP runs fine on a 64-bit computer, and that seems to be what the OP is doing.
The only snag is the 32-bit OS cannot use all the installed RAM.

Re: Total beginner looking for LiveCD instructions

You would do well to study the user manual
https://mxlinux.org/user_manual_mx17/mxum.pdf
in MSWindows before doing anything with MX.

Re: Bookmarks Toolbar deletion

Right click on "Home" in the toolbar, left click on "Customize...".

Edit: "Customize..." is at the bottom of the popup produced by the right-click on "Home".

Running Mepis 11. (I know, I know.) Using Firefox ESR 45.2.0 installed from a mikeinsantarosa .deb.
.......
My M11 has FF ESR 45.9.0 and DW is working fine for me on it.
Try looking in synaptic for updates?

Re: Wireless Network Quirky

Occasionally the failure to connect automatically has happened to me with a wired connection, but a reboot has always cured it.
