you can use

ls -l 
to see the ownership and permissions of the /home/$USER folder. that's the first thing I would check.

check to see if your home folder is actually being mounted, and that the permissions match your user.

I think you are seeing the thumbnails of the file. You can turn off thumbnails in the thunar settings.

A hard block typically means either a physical hardware switch or possible a switch in the bios has disabled wifi.

Probably.

Use mx-codecs. It will install the dvd decryption library.

from your inxi output, it looks like you are booting UEFI, but your parititon screenshot does not indicate a ESP partition.

So it may be worth checking your system settings to see if legacy boot mode is enabled.
