Re: Snapshot needs more space than expected

you need space for the duplicate squashfs filesystem plus the resultant iso.

so 5.5 GB free might be just quite not enought for a 2.7 GB iso.

Re: L10N-FIX : Firefox, Thunderbird, Lightning-Calendar Language Setup

ok, confirmed the preferences.js works as fehlix indicates, without any other intervention. I'm unclear whether existing users will need to reset their mozilla folders or not, but this will work great for new users and initial setups. For users with existing profiles of FF or TB, where the above au...

Thanks for answering. I could easily install MX 16 Wallpapers (though it' easy to pick chosen wallpapers on the site).

Dearly.

also, our thunar has a right-click action for setting any graphic you select as the current wallpaper.

Re: 'No removable device'

When my MX 17.1 starts I always get a box on the desktop that says No removable device. Is there a terminal command which will stop it and maybe also prevent it from doing whatever it's doing that that is the result? I presume you are booting in systemd mode. See this post. https://forum.mxlinux.or...

The op is running antix.

Right.click on the volume icon in the systray and select the preferences. There are.options inside to enable the volume control hotkeys.

Re: Can't launch Conky

Hi, Thanks for answering. I randomly solved the problem by launching Conky since the MX Tools menu. It works now. To answer your question, I had kept my home from Debian 9. I (thought I) had purged all configuration files before install to avoid conflicts. ah, until you launched mx-conky, the conky...

systemd and /tmp

to those of you that might be running mx linux in "systemd" mode, you may find that your /tmp directory is not emptying quite as often as you might like. this causes some odd behavior for a couple of apps, but the fix is easy. 1. copy tmp.conf from /usr/lib/tmpfiles.d to /etc/tmpfiles.d sudo cp /usr...
