if you run the installer from a terminal, there is some debugging information that will scroll by during the install attempt. might be usefull...

do you have an nvme or mmcblk device by any chance?
There was a bug on the installer as released on the april snapshot. Its been fixed in an update, so just update the installer before installing and try again.

this is interesting and I can see why you would be frustrated. I'm wondering if this is related to the number of digits vs. alpha-numeric characters in each file name. In other words, since the second 2014 file in your list has more digits, its read as a larger number somehow. That is pure speculati...

Yeah, its one of the great mysteries of the freedesktop implementation that Network=Internet. There are some other differences too. Our menu editor uses the actual freedesktop categories rather than the transposed ones.

I get that message all the time when using "apt". So far i haven't noticed any problems but Maybe time to look into the message some.

fehlix, you've done it again! sending a new distribution.ini file up to the packagers with your information! Just tested, and after enabling a language pack, works pretty good. This will work for fresh installations and for those that update firefox before they launch. existing users will still need...

yep. the firmware fixes (microcode) are a separate item from kernel patches.
