Re: Become a Tester?????

there is a bug report forum here:

viewforum.php?f=97

you can also put an "issue" on the github for the various tools (github link is in the shortcut bar above), but most folks just leave a forum post.

Re: Become a Tester?????

anyone is open to test apps in the test repo of MX-Packagesinstaller.

in addition, new mx-tools are usually posted for public testing in the forum. and betas for the new isos are also public.

I imagine there will be some action soon...getting ready for a major installer update.

Re: MX Package Installer on vanilla Debian?

As far as I can see, a user would just need to also install libcmd from our repo for it. The debian-backports and flatpak sections should work 100% for them, and a good percentage of the packages in the main section that come from outside of the MX repos, such as Google Earth, Slimjet, Google Chrom...

Re: Win10 and MX Linux

If I understand correctly windows is on one drive and Linux on the other.

Just run "update-grub" when the Linux drive is in place and booted up.

Re: Network Manager ongoing problem

After setting up a wireless connection successfully, following a re-boot the connection is sometimes lost. Stopping, then starting the network gets it working for that session. This doesn't happen for everyone, and although I haven't tested it, I believe it is related to the particular wireless car...

Re: Installer difficulty using two drives.

rox-filer -> right click -> options. the single click stuff is in there somewhere.

if you are using spacefm-desktop, the single-click options are in the spacefm settings.

I suggest setting up the static IP in either network manager OR the etc/network/interfaces file. If you use network-manager, try editing the connectio...

Re: Mx Updater Request

its because the /etc/default/grub file doesn't match the one shown in debian's update. keep the current version (not the maintainers version).

the debian grub update is very annoying.
