Chrome all by itself can get you over 1gb pretry quick.

My antix 32 bit setup idles at 58mb.

I'm sure that somewhere a long the way I've installed something testing or doing dev stuff that caused the issue on my machine.

I can't install the 32 bit stuff for the debian wine packages either. (wine32 for instance).

so obviously I've got something conflicting. I gots no clue what though.

Does the script install wine-staging or winehq-staging? Winehq-staging doesn't have any trouble in a test Vbox 64-bit install. wine-staging. however, sudo apt-get install winehq-staging Reading package lists... Very nice. And nice RAM usage too. The biggest problem is with videos. I just tried disabling hardware acceleration, but didn't see much change. the n270 is amazing anemic when it comes to today's online videos. you can use apps like smtube or streamlight to play youtube videos outside the browser ...
