your rig has an "always on" USB-C port. In the past where that port has been occupied at shutdown, there have been some complications IE reboot loops etc.

I realize that I probably should've added more context: I say "broken fan" but its just that it doesn't work. I'm not actually sure if its broken since I have no way to test it for now. I've cleaned up inside and the fan is also clean. The only reason why I'm trying to do it this way inst...

Your laptop is ten years old and the most likely cause of the over heating problem is that it needs ans interior cleaning (dust build up is a insulator). This video shows you how to open the case and clean the fan;

Looking more closely I also see that the time does not correspond to my location and that it does not admit changes, it return to its configuration .... There is an option that says 'load setup dafaults', is it possible to reset the BIOS? That's the purpose of that control. If you are asking if you...

I think that you should install one of the Liquorix kernels that are available via MXPI. Modern machines just work better with them as opposed to the Debian kernels.
