I think that you should upgrade to one of the Liquorix kernels that are available though MX Package Installer (MXPI), reboot and at the Grub screen, choose Advanced Options and the new kernel as your choice for this session. If it solves the problem, you can make it the new default via Boot Options ...

The really troubling bit is that KDE has not put a temporary halt on user submissions until their vetting process is in place.

I think that you should refocus your attention as to why WiFi connections are failing. All WiFi capable devices constantly poll, either to maintain an active connection or to establish a new one if necessary. The polling routine is not something that can or should be disabled.
