What exactly is the confusion. Your fstab looks ok. 2 drives, 2 entries per drive is correct.

Not sure why you would have a language problem but Devede might be a better choice if all you want to do is make dvd compliant video. It's simple and easy to use.

What about just using fdisk or cfdisk. Either will wipe a drive and create partitions.

First of all, why are they tied to Outlook? Just because that's what they use? I have not used it lately but the KDE mail suite works very well. Kontact.
