It's fabulous. Gorgeous to look at and hold, incredibly fast: under 3 secs from start to login. I posted the specs earlier in this thread, i think. I don't need the glitz and speed except when running resource hungry apps on Windows, but it sure is fun! This is one of the earlier models so not horri...

OK, much later I have finally managed to solve this by using grub2win and am posting from my XPS 13 with an installed MX Linux for the first time. Very exciting.

Will post a how-to later.

Perhaps easier would be to add a button that launched netselect-apt, "a speed tester for choosing a fast Debian mirror."

EDIT: that was a dumb pre-coffee post, since I know very well that that's what the current button does.
