Re: [Solved] Testing Repos?

AntiX's installer gives you a choice between Stable, Testing or Sid/Unstable repos as your Debian base. You could make a trial partition to install AntiX with Debian Testing as the base. That way you start clean with Debian Testing packages rather than try to replace tons of packages (with the poten...

Re: MX-17 Screenshots

Unfortunately I only have the png file. This was contributed to the MX community by a member called vinz who was only around for a short time and has not been heard from since.

Re: Wallpaper for MX linux By Auro Kumar Sahoo

Thanks for those detailed instructions! I'll need to have my working file opened in Inkscape to be able to understand your step by step help. Since I will only get home late tonight, I may only be able to try it out in the next few days. As for the proposed capsule shape, now that I have seen how it...

Re: MX-17 Screenshots

Awesome color scheme, looks good. I saw your post and tried making a materia based theme and yeah I agree the padding is definitely a little overdone ... What is this "padding" and do you know how to reduce it? I am guessing that it refers to some internal buffer zone within a border or outline?

Re: MX17 Repo: the oomox thread

Interesting. Looks like I did it wrongly. What I did was go through the list of pre-requisites for the GUI app, oomox theme plugin and materia theme plugin, and try to look for said required packages in Synaptic. Those I could find, which had not been installed yet, I installed. But not all the pre-...

MX17 Repo: the oomox thread

I refer to this post by @rich in this thread: https://forum.mxlinux.org/viewtopic.php?p=447967#p447967 Very cool, I'll be testing this out. Since we're on the subject, any chance for oomox too? It goes great with PyWal as far as having a whole cohesive theme based on the wallpaper, for example here ...

Re: Wallpaper for MX linux By Auro Kumar Sahoo

But I couldn't figure out how to curve the "C" on the left to follow the outline of the oval. Also, my preference is a "capsule" shape, ie, a rectangle with rounded ends, but I have no idea how to achieve that. First Congrats for your 1st try on inkscape. Once you start using, you will find how eas...

This is about as far as I got: https://i.imgur.com/hYRC7tl.jpg https://imgur.com/hYRC7tl But I couldn't figure out how to curve the "C" on the left to follow the outline of the oval. Also, my preference is a "capsule" shape, ie, a rectangle with rounded ends, but I have no idea how to achieve that.

Re: MX-17 Screenshots

Here's my oomox-generated theme created over the materia-theme base. The colour scheme (cream background, navy blue widgets and greyish-blue borders) is loosely based on an openbox theme I found on Bunsenlabs forum, called oncremmer2, which had cream backgrounds and navy blue borders and widgets. I ...
