Re: Streamlining MX17

Here's a screenshot of my antix+XFCE install on Virtualbox. I added the MX-notifier and it's currently downloading updates (plus I haven't installed the patched kernel yet). Wallpaper was one of the candidates for inclusion in the MX16.1 iso. RAM use in the midst of updating = 288MB, which isn't too...

Re: MX Appearance

Do they work with gtk3 programs like Archive Manager? If that appears with only the fallback adwaita white bar on top even with shiki themes applied, it means shiki is a gtk2 only theme. With more gtk3 programs around, it's not the most appropriate theme for inclusion in the curated list of Popular ...

Re: Open letter to the MX developers from an Ubuntu user

Re: WPS OFFICE?

The Linux version does not have ads. And it come not come with a time limit/trial period.

I try to use LO for most things but for certain docs with more complex tables and indenting, WPS is more compatible with Word docs.

Re: Site describing MX as a 'product'?

Also, that dropdown menu contains (among others) links to: 1) distro download sources 2) community-contributed wallpaper (many not found within the downloadable isos) 3) conkies 4) MX artwork like logos and icons These are 4 different categories of products of people's time/effort/creativity. It's n...

Re: Open letter to the MX developers from an Ubuntu user

Good conversation going on.

I'm glad that there are many members interested enough in the continued development and direction of MX to put forth their views and critique.

Would be good to hear from more members, both new and old.
