Re: MX and my problem

If I had this problem, I'd at least to install and run the stock Debian 4.9 kernel to see if that solves the freezing issues. Doing that is just a few clicks away in the MX package installer and a few key presses in GRUB. The 4.9 Debian kernel is as "fixed" as any other 64-bit kernel is g...

Re: MX-17 Screenshots

@male Thanks Mate I always convert my conkys to v1.10> How do you add more days ? I can't get the code to work..for this The weakness of COnky Manager in MX17 is that it can't recognise conkies in the new syntax. So for a few favourite new syntax conkies of mine, I actually convert them back to old...

Re: MX and my problem

In MX16, after installing all updates, go to MXPI. Under Popular Apps tab, there should be a list of kernels with descriptions as to whether they are patched or not. You could also go to Test Repo under Full App Catalog tab, and install the latest 4.15 Liquorix kernel. The Packaging Team is on the b...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Virtual Box Thread

Thanks @fehlix (the Cat).

But I'm perfectly happy waiting for 5.2.10 to be moved to Main repo. If the update subsequently goes wonky, then I'll do a full removal and purge. If not, I'm good.

Meanwhile, 5.2.8 works fine.

Re: Why no kernel upgrades ?

...We do roll newer Liquorix kernels into the test repo periodically, and you can also install the even newer antiX kernels. I haven't tested if the 4.16 kernel requires fixes for the dkms packages, though.

Find them via MX Package Installer.

Re: Problems after changing styles (Apearance and GtkChTheme)

... Sorry for the bad info - I did install and use ceni (with the second user account), but not wicd. I've used wicd with the antiX installation. I've installed several themes with MXPI (zukito, xfwm, paper-gtk, obsidian, numix, murrine, adwaita, maybe others - I was looking for a theme whose scroo...

Re: MX(LX)Qt ??

...added the mx repo and installed MX updater but it doesn't seem to be working on its own, as in if I leave it alone for a long time, it doesn't seem to run an update check. So the empty box icon never turns green on its own. I've changed mirrors a few times with no success. If I do an apt update ...

Re: MX(LX)Qt ??

I don't have an example, since I was just throwing ideas into the mix. I use "xdotool key ctrl+alt+d" command as part of my bl-hotcorners settings to trigger "show desktop" in one corner of the screen. I was just wondering, since you had a problem with the superkey being bound to...

Re: Gnu Grub menu

... in the recent past the int based system has crashed more than twice but the system is rock steady using systemd. If that's your concern, perhaps you should try MX default init for some time before jumping straight into systemd. MX is not Mint or Ubuntu, so what ails Mint in trying to run sysv i...
