Re: Kernel updates

MX17 originally came with 4.13 to increase hardware compatibility with newer hardware. Not sure if at that time the 4.14 was in backports yet. Then Spectre/Meltdown happened, and IIRC, Debian wasn't patching their 4.9 kernels quickly enough at first. WIth people with newer hardware already using 4.1...

Re: [THEME] Cobalt Beetle : would you like to test my blues ?

No worries. It doesn't bother me at all, but I just thought I would let you know. As for why pale blue, actually that's a light grey and I find it's comfortable for my eyes. I don't like the new light themes that use a blinding white as their main background colour in various panes. Hurts eyes. Just...

Re: [THEME] Cobalt Beetle : would you like to test my blues ?

Nice one ! Is this the GTK theme you've built on a Numix base thanks to Oomox ? Colorful and sober all together, i like it. Yes, it's a oomox-created numix theme. I think of the colour scheme as red tea with and without milk. I saw a screenshot of one theme of yours that is using a [cyan/turquese/c...

Re: MX-16 Screenshots

.... I'd like to give you this script. The how-to is written at the beginning (you will understand it). It makes backgrounds ;) for your Conky's in a simple way. I got it from a good friend draw_bg_convert.sh #!/bin/bash #-----------------------------------------------------------------------------...

Re: Test repo mx grey theme

I don't understand your question. Could you post a screenshot of how the theme looks in the test repo?

By the way, by "test repo" are you referring to the test repo tab in MX Package Installer?

Can you get seamonkey with apt get?
It's in the repositories, so yeah! I always prefer to use Synaptic Package Manager because it checks and resolves most dependency issues....
You make it sound like apt get doesn't resolve dependencies...

Re: Full upgrade

Synaptic in MX uses apt-get dist-upgrade by default as far as I know, so if you haven't had any issues, it shows that MX works fine with apt-get dist-upgrade, regardless of warnings in Ubuntu/Mint. Of course, you are probably a model user who, like Adrian was saying, does not monkey around with sour...

Re: Debian 1min 30s a job is running delay

I have been using the UUID in fstab to auto mount partitions sense before systemd, my habits have not changed and it has been trouble free, just lucky I guess.... If you never reformat swap while installing another distro, ie, you select an option to "use existing swap partitions" or you don't use/...
