Re: Cannot fix broken packages

On the left panel of Synaptic, is there a filter entry for "broken packages"? If you click on that, we could see what packages were held back.

Thanks for this. I may just check them out!

Re: Cannot fix broken packages

It could be that the Netherlands repo mirrors are not fully sync-ed so their package list may contain outdated packages that conflict with some updates. Based on Eadwine Rose's previous posts, that seems to be something that happens from time to time with NL mirrors. Suggest you use Repo Manager and...

Re: REQUEST? MX Tools - Control Panel - CP removal possible?

This is going off track. And I'm scratching my head over this. The thread was your proposal that the control panel icon in Whisker Menu should link to MX Tools rather than XFCE Settings Manager. You said MX Tools should take pride of place on said menu. But you also talked about how you generally di...

Re: Conky Helps and Stuff

If you just run conky 1.10++ without Conky Manager, it will be able to read and recognise old syntax conkies in general. So no conversion is usually needed from either syntax. I use a combination of old and new-syntax conkies interchangeably on most of my distros running conky 1.10++ except for MX17...

Re: Are there less themes in 17.1?

All the old gtk2-only themes are removed because they don't theme gtk3 programs at all. Or they weren't maintained/updated and thus their gtk3 theming was not compatible with gtk3.22 (current version for Debian Stretch). I think you can install them for yourself from the Debian repos using Synaptic ...

Re: REQUEST? MX Tools - Control Panel - CP removal possible?

Some things in the XFCE settings manager I use and which I access through said manager (instead of through their individual menu entries in whisker menu): 1. sessions and startup 2. display settings 3, mouse/cursor settings and themes 4. keyboard bindings These are not in MX Tools. And aren't these ...

Re: Mint or MX?

Shiki colors isn't what I could call a particularly pretty theme. Are you sure it's the theme you have in mind? We've already got obsidian theme and icons in the Popular Apps section of MXPI. There are a few other themes and icon sets there as well. I've also recommended a few others to the Dev team...

Re: Trinity Desktop Spin?

Official antiX is all about window managers.

Trinity is a DE so it won't fit in with that group of WMs.

Have you asked on the antiX forum? Or tried respinning it yourself?
