Re: Is anyone using Friendica?

Thanks for the reply. I knew that some of these are not good. I just am not familiar with them and wondered what others thoughts were. I have a cousin that warned me about social networks years ago. I only came back to Facebook after getting off of there for awhile because some of my relatives are g...

Is anyone using Friendica?

I just saw this old Linux magazine post about Friendica: http://www.linux-magazine.com/Online/Features/Social-and-Private-with-Friendica Apparently it is now 9 years old. Anybody familiar with it? What do you think about it? Most of my family is on Facebook. I am getting tired of the heavy-handed wa...

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback

MX Conkypatch conky shows different date on calendar than on line in conky.
calendar says 23 line says 27th.

I don't like the colors selected for the terminal but those are easily changed.

Re: MX Linux Facebook group

I dislike Facebook but find it necessary to keep in contact with parts of my family and several good friends. A long time ago I wanted to set something up where family would email a chain letter and it would make the rounds and when it got back to you you would just delete your old info and add new....

Re: OSDisc.com Has Closed

I got burned by another outfit selling Linux CD's.
Never a problem with OSDisc.
Sad to see him close it.
When I was on dial-up using Mepis years ago I bought quite a few copies of Mepis from him.
They were a godsend to those of us on dial-up.

Re: Are there any bible memory apps for Linux?

I had some extra time today and got around to installing BibleMemorizer. I see what you mean about the cursor being a little ahead of where it belongs. This will do the job for me. I don't want to mess around with anything online either. If they ever get around to making a Linux version of eSword th...

Re: Are there any bible memory apps for Linux?

I tried the telbiblememory on antiX 15 but it won't launch.
MX-15 and Antix 15 are the two oldest operating systems I have installed.
