Re: Translation of app names

Why should the whole translations be changed if it bothers only you?
What I meant was to allow more freedom for the different translators to use whatever they like for the name, English or a translation.

Re: Translation of app names

With such a different treatment of names, we could make things more flexible. English names in languages where they can be used and translated names where they must be used. Now we have one size fits all.

Re: Strange -- can't access Distrowatch content

Skipped M11 for the same reason, firefox only working partially. There was always some page elements not loading correctly on the web pages.
Worked very hard to keep it alive. Used a later kernel and applied lots of security fixes manually. Didn't help.
Now I'm using MX 16 with kde.

Re: Request For KDE 5.12 or latest in MX 17.1

There's a thread about how to get kde 5.12: viewtopic.php?f=127&t=45040
If you have a spare installation to experiment on and like tweaking configuration files, this could be the way to go.

Re: Distrowatch reveiw grumbles

The new Swedish repo seems to be working. The latest packages are from 2018-05-24.
Didn't know about this one, thanks for posting.
