Re: LiveCDs and HDDs

it may just be swapping out some memory, to your drive,
since this seems to happen after any period of web surfing.

Re: it stops updating, for some reason.

it seems to be the line starting with http://security.debian.org/
as that line always Failed, where the others were not.

although, now, an hour after changing the Mirror(s) - it's seems ok.

Re: 32 bit library installation?

mainly because JMaxwell asked this question "can you provide a nice simple explanation of the method you used?"

& there was no question asked about the MX multi-arch support. .. .

whilst it is true, that the MX system often does have multi-arch support - - that was not asked about.

Re: 32 bit library installation?

one of the most common examples, is for the ./wine project, & as the ./wine project is still an 32 bit project & that you now have an 64 bit machine, sudo dpkg --add-architecture i386; sudo apt-get update from here https://www.codeweavers.com/support/wiki/linux/faq/Ubuntu in the Dependency Help sect...

Re: Microsofts plan to "Modularize" windows..... is actually a great idea!

it does seem that those that have moved away from the Windows System, & over to some Linux System, did so, for an Reason, - -they now, generally Won't buy an argument from Microsoft, that Microsoft is a-changing itself. & they just Won't Believe that BS. personally, IMHO anyway, there won't be an Bi...

Re: MX is really something special

the MX system does install really well, & it looks really nice,,
and it even detects all the hardware, properly.
plus, it still runs that Older Hardware, quite well, when some other Linux System's don't .. .

Projector - - Extend or Duplicate ?

it's not always that obvious, either as to why you cannot get your Projector to work. the Linux System should Default to Duplicate, but sometimes it doesn't do so, & you just wind up watching the XFCE screen with That Mouse. :bawling: you can use Control Center to manually detect the Proj...
