I actually contacted PIA support about this working version, and suggested they add MX as a supported version. All they said was MX isn't supported, and referred me to some reddit threads for help. I have a feeling there's some politics going on... I think the explanation for VPN providers' disinte...

You MUST use gparted here. You don't want to use mx partitioner to do this. MX has no partitioner of its own, it uses...gparted! correction. You MUST use a gparted bootable disk and not the gparted portion of mx to split the harddrive. You run less chance of messing up your windows OS. I disagree e...

Just a shot in the dark...without knowing anything about your configuration...any chance you installed MX using the same /home location as Mate? In other words, are you sharing the same /home with both MX and Mate?

For me, too. And it is the last step!...motherboard doc shows the pinouts but the case wires are not always labeled clearly.
