Mariadb 10.1_10.1.41-0+deb1_amd64 Not Updating

Over the past couple of weeks, the Mariadb has not been able to finish updating. I've tried both Synaptic and the CLI. Get the same error. E: /tmp/apt-dpkg-install-GamYfw/0-mariadb-server-10.1_10.1.41-0+deb9u1_amd64.deb: subprocess new pre-removal script returned error exit status 1 E: /tmp/apt-dpkg...

Installing net-tools from the repos provides the ifconfig functionality.

Re: Live USB with persistance

Since the LinuxCNC distro is a dedicated CNC machine controller system are you sure that it even included networking support? It may be meant to be used on a stand-alone computer. Having said that, try downloading the Debian Wheezy ifconfig package with another computer and installing it with gdebi...

Re: Live USB with persistance

I've remasatered this set up a couple of different ways and something is getting missed in the creation of the iso or in the creating of the USB stick. The network manager sees the wifi or the hard wire and connects. But, there is no access to the outside world. I check to see if there is any IP add...

Re: Live USB with persistance

1. Setup things up in a VB drive. 2. Add the Antix and MX repos to a new file under /etc/apt/sources.list.d/mx.list 3. Update the system using sudo apt update. Now I also had to add "[trusted=yes]" to the front end of the line of the repos. Also, I add the errors that the PUBLIC KEY was missing. I d...

Re: Live USB with persistance

1. I would need to install linuxCNC on to a drive. 2. Add the MXLinux repos to sources.list 3. Install snapshot. 4. Create an iso of the newer Linux CNC. 5. Install Live USB Maker. 6. Create a new one USB Live stick That's one approach. If Linux CNC provides a live version then you could/should ski...

Re: Live USB with persistance

Does this work on all Debian based distros? Why I ask, I would like to create a persistent LinuxCNC USB stick. Dolphin_oracle had a very clever idea for a way to do this. Install our snapshot program on LinuxCNC then use that to make a snapshot and use our live-usb-maker program on that snapshot is...

Re: Live USB with persistance

Does this work on all Debian based distros? Why I ask, I would like to create a persistent LinuxCNC USB stick. I've been reading this https://github.com/LinuxCNC/stretch-live-build but having trouble getting access to change things as they describe. I created the original LinuxCNC Live USB stick usi...

Re: MX-19 Beta 1 Feedback

I will and report back. That does make a difference. Things were a bit screwed up, like the taskbar continued to be small and the icons were missing at the lower left. Time was unreadable in the upper left. I'm sure if I was able to reboot the system and keep the state, this would have made a diffe...
