Re: Press any key takes me back to menu
As they say, whomever they are, there is more than one way to install a system. I tried a DVDRW with manual partitioning and esp, guess what? Can you say [Solved?] Good you found another way. The aforementioned issue happens only on LiveUSB with DD-ISO mode, if the USB stick is not hd0. When bootin...

Re: Press any key takes me back to menu
OK, that's known issue with MX18.3 booting from LiveUSB (ISOmode) in UEFI mode. This sounds like what might have happened to me although I was using a snapshot of MX, and burned the ISO to thumb drive with Live USB Maker. Probably. As far as I can see, that hardcode "hd0" issue, should on...

Re: Press any key takes me back to menu
That's weird, Bob. Have you been able to try that USB on another computer? Just wondering if it's kernel related? This is my only computer, the other one had problems with power supply and it was Intel based. Over four years old and beyond redemption. I stripped it, used the nvidia card in this one...

Re: Press any key takes me back to menu
That's not related to the Installer, but to the booting from the LiveUSB/ISO, right? Now tell us how did you created the LiveUSB, full featured mode, DD-ISO mode? which tool used? And did you plugged out all USB devices, as this can confuse grub on the LiveUSB/ISO? I used balena Etcher to make the ...

Re: Press any key takes me back to menu
Since you don't seem to be in a position where you can post your system info, could you instead give us the make and model of your laptop so we can do a bit of research? I have to use something or I could not write to you: Specs below [bob@Manjaro-Testing ~]$ inxi -Fxzc0 System: Host: Manjaro-Testi...

Re: Press any key takes me back to menu
@mxer I was not sure so downloaded a more recent version @fehlix When trying to start my install there is a menu for choosing which type to use, each comes back with the same reply. To all, I am about to try another version "MX-18.3_July_x64.iso" Wish me luck. It checks out with sha512.

Press any key takes me back to menu [Solved]
I am trying to install MX 18.3 on new system that is AMD with UEFI. I keep getting the same response as in subject, no matter which part of three or four options I choose. One even says it will use 1024 x 768 resolution which is not acceptable. My current resolution is 1920 x 1080 with nvidia graphi...
