Re: Blank after 10 min screen frozen

Thanks, I thought that might be the problem. I've found a few other features in Power Manger that I could disable - everything is turned off now. If that doesn't work, I'll uninstall the Power Manager as you suggest. I'm looking forward to MX 23, but I'll have to install that when I have a bit more ...

Re: New antiX installation cannot connect to wireless router

I'm sorry, although I configured ceni again, I forgot to reboot. After simply rebooting, I now have great internet access. (I'm very pleased how nippy it is on this old netbook.)

Many thanks for your help, Anticapitalista and Caprea. I shall mark the thread as 'Solved'.

Re: New antiX installation cannot connect to wireless router

I followed the three steps in the link and have moved a step forward. I can now see activity in the "wlan0 up" box on the conky. Also, when I log into my router (using my mxlinux laptop), I can see the Acer netbook, which is shown as being connected in the same way as my mxlinux laptop. Un...

Re: New antiX installation cannot connect to wireless router

Yes thanks, but Connman only displayed my ethernet card plus an empty list for wireless networks. I used Ceni because it did show me a list of local wireless networks to choose from (including my own router). I did guess at most settings in Ceni. For example, i entered the static IP address my route...

New antiX installation cannot connect to wireless router [SOLVED]

Hi. Yesterday I installed the latest download of AntiX on an old Acer Inspire One (Atom processor, 32 bit, 1G RAM, 144G disk). It seems to be running ok, but I cannot connect to my Vodafone wireless router. I have run Ceni to configure a new logical interface for my Acer's wireless card. However, it...

Re: Setting default system locale ineffective

You might try to reset login-screen using MX-tweak, to get the selector. I guess somewhere your original locale en_US is remembered and not reset by the login screen, due to missing locale-selector. The problem was solved by following your suggestion to reset the login screen using MX-tweak. I now ...

Re: Setting default system locale ineffective

My login screen (on MX-18) only shows one list, which looks similar to the keyboard list (but without an icon). Is there any way of configuring the login menus?

Re: Setting default system locale ineffective

Thanks, fehlix, I've run the one-liner in a terminal and now have the following result, with 'us' appearing at the top of the login screen: $ locale locale: Cannot set LC_CTYPE to default locale: No such file or directory locale: Cannot set LC_MESSAGES to default locale: No such file or directory lo...
