Re: Help needed with NFS share

You might want to search the forum for "nfs" if you haven't already. I saw 28 pages worth of topics. Someone's probably had the same issue before and there might be a solution posted in there somewhere.

Re: Another Nvidia breakage

Chris Use very simple English with no slang, contractions...

Re: MX Desktop Respins (list)

I got the urge to try a respin today. What I did was take Manyroads' MX Minimal respin, update it to make it current, then removed everything that was left after his own uninstalling which would be of no use on a server: things like alsa, pulseaudio, codecs, Transmission torrent client, Adobe Flash ...

MX-18.3 Bare Server Edition respin

Based on Manyroads' MX18 Continuum (Minimal) Release on a Live USB, I took it a step farther and created a "minimal-er" respin of MX for use as the basis for building a small server for use in a home or small office environment, removing everything that won't be needed on a server. It should be read...

Re: Porgram installation

If this answered your question please edit your original post (the pencil icon at the top right) and add [SOLVED] to the subject. This makes it easier for others when they're searching the forum looking for solutions to the same problem. Thanks.

Re: Dual boot Ubuntu and MX Linux

Also, please remember that MX is not Ubuntu nor is it Debian. Adding Ubuntu PPAs or installing .debs that you find on the Internet will sooner or later lead to a non-working system.

Re: Dual boot Ubuntu and MX Linux

Thanks for your thoughts. The issue seems to be that not enough packages support 'MX Linux" and so I believe what is needed are notes on how to get around that. I have PAINFULLY used my working 'Ubuntu 19.04' to migrate the stuff I need (mostly) I have mongodb, yarn, node, working etc... But I stil...
