Re: How does kernel update/upgrade ?

You actually need linux-image 4.18.8 and linux-headers 4.18.8, or you can use the "kernel" section in the Package Installer to install 4.18.6 from stretch-backports, or the latest Liquorix kernel from our test repo--we should have a 4.18.9 version in there soon. Re: Can't connect to the internet via public library connection

Well, what does

Code: Select all

say about your networking hardware? Maybe you have one of those Realtek chipsets that don't have a kernel driver, and you'll need to get and build the source.

Re: Video stutter

Does anything show up in the logs in SMPlayer, or if you try playing the video directly with mplayer on the command line?

Does mplayer show the same stutter?

Does switching to the "intel" driver in MX Tweak make any difference? (requires a restart after the switch)

Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team

qBittorrent 4.1.3 for MX 17 I saw a mention of PCManfm-qt being a lightning-fast file manager, so I managed to backport 0.13.0 from Buster, but had to also backport some newer LXQT components to do so. So I'm now looking into how difficult backporting the rest of LXQT would be. I also see that Pale ...
