Re: Virtualbox problem in MX-17

We also have virtualbox-5.2.2 in the test repo. I'm using that instead of the Oracle version after the upgrade to MX 17. So far, so good.

Re: aptik

I ended up using it to save the package list from my janky in-place upgrade, then reinstalling the packages on a fresh, home-folder-saved install of MX 17-x64. It worked great when I did that.

Re: MX-17 KDE Spin?

I did do those KDE respins of MX 15 and 16 that worked really well, and only added a couple hundred MB to the ISO, so I plan to follow the same route...probably after the new year, though. I'm still polishing up my in-place upgrade of MX 16 to 17. It was pretty involved, now the only problem is that...

Re: MX-17 KDE Spin?

As soon as we figure out the theming issues, and what needs to be added to the default configuration.

Re: MX-17 Release Candidate 1 - Feedback

i thought I explained the differences and reasons for the packaging in the compiz-reloaded thread at the start... :frown:

The 0.9 series removes many plugins and features. Is that what you want?

Re: Me-Tv

Well, it still fails on the Squeeze base, even with gcc-4.9. Development has been abandoned, one of the reasons that Debian and Ubuntu don't carry it any longer, either.

Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team

Tilix segfaults on MX 16, works fine so far on 17. That's pretty good, considering.

Grive 2 (grive) for MX 17. [done]

Faba-colors-icon-theme for 15/16 and 17. [done]

Re: Me-Tv

Builds packages OK on MX 15/16, but not on MX 17 as default. I'll try to build against the gcc-4.9 in the MX 17 test repo to see if that gets it to finish successfully.

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Liquorix Kernel Thread

Just restore from the system backup...right?

At least MX is a lot faster to do a full reinstall than Debian, too.
