Re: 64-bit torrent link broken

They really don't keep track, but the pages have over 18000 and 5000 "views" for the 64 and 32-bit. The MX 18 pages I put up when it was released only have a few hundred, so I'd say the difference between the two is going to be when we added the torrent links. The 64-bit torrent file was already att...

You can play a lot of Powerpoint ppt files using Linux apps, too, such as Libreoffice and Calligra.

Re: 64-bit torrent link broken

Not sure what goes on, the torrent works fine here downloaded 18% in a matter of seconds, the files if I go in incognito indeed show as not downloadable as in the screenshot. Didn't do anything to that that to require log in access on archive.org but I'm not that familiar with the site and is kind ...

Disclaimer: "Based on a true story", so embellishments such as needing to use the laptop to prevent a nuclear Armageddon, along with lots of parkour and gunplay to make it more exciting, are allowable.

Re: 64-bit torrent link broken

Can the site directly host and provide the torrent file, or does it have to be somewhere else? In the worst case, they could be in zip attachments here, I guess.

Re: Realtek 8812BU WiFI Driver

This driver may work: https://github.com/cilynx/rtl88x2BU_WiF ... 80427-5959

I'd suggest trying the dkms procedure.

Re: 64-bit torrent link broken

Not a good situation when the MX Website link fails. A user would not necessarily know he would need an account. Since the torrents are still working as long as they can get the torrent file, how about just providing it directly instead of from archive.org? (and do the same thing for the 32-bit bef...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Pale Moon Browser Thread

Oops, I must have had the MX repo added to sbuild for that particular build. But it's fine with MX! However, antiX users can always use the Jessie/Stretch/Buster versions from my OBS repo--add the repo and its key to get automatic updates, or just download and install the single deb package. See the...

Re: 64-bit torrent link broken

I see it's now in Collections: highbandwidth and logged-in. I wonder if it was downloaded so many times that they automatically moved it to those collections? I've attached a zip of the torrent file, and will like to see if it still works. MX18.1X64_archive.torrent.zip The Google says we are too pop...

Re: HP DV6 Not recognizing MX18.1 installation Thumb Drive

I used to have just about the exact same laptop (from late 2012 or so, I think). The model # is the same, as are the CPU and APU/GPU. It did come with Windows 8, UEFI, and Secure Boot, but after some messing around with Windows, I just switched it in the "BIOS" to legacy boot and wiped out Windows i...
