Re: Audacity 2.3.0 Test Repos ... A no-go

Thanks for the update, and am glad to see it wasn't just our packaging. I'll go back to 2.2.2 on my separate multimedia repo on the OBS also, then.

Re: Missing mouse theme integration in QT applications

Root has its own theming. You'll have to run the appearance settings as root to set the cursor theme--for KDE, "kdesu systemsettings5" if you've set the symlink for kdesu as has been suggested in the past.

Re: Ad blocking extension

I stumbled upon this a couple of weeks ago > Incognito Adblocker > Firefox extension. I downloaded and ran it, and my first thoughts were that this was uBlock Origin with a different gui. I went to the website half expecting it to be a gorhill project that I'd missed the news about, but it was not....

Re: Package request: browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash

What is this "backported package" you installed? Backporting doesn't mean to try and install the Buster and Sid versions--it means to rebuild the package from the source code on your platform so it becomes compatible with your libraries. I haven't linked to the backported version I did yet...I'm fin...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Krita Thread

I tried the new 4.1.5 release, and a build failure now happens even earlier. It built successfully on a Debian testing base, though.

64-bit users can use the AppImage if they want the latest version, though: https://download.kde.org/stable/krita/

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Thunderbird Thread

Does the Firetray extension work if you install it directly from the Mozilla web store?

Re: Package request: browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash

It was a wrapper that allowed Firefox to use the PPAPI Flash plugin at a time when it was being updated and the NPAPI plugin that it could natively use was not being maintained--stuck at 11.2 while Pepperflash was at version 25, for example. Now that both Flash varieties are being updated in sync, t...
