Re: MX 17 Repository: The qBittorrent Thread

I'm having problems with this package as well. The search tab functions and the window populates, but when the download button is clicked on, the download window pops up and it hangs on retrieving the metadata. Nothing populates in the Transfer tab. If I click on another source in the search tab, a...

Re: MX 17 Repository: The qBittorrent Thread

OK, that version was built against the libtorrent-rasterbar9 already in the main MX 17 repo, so we don't don't have to move anything else to main to support it. I'll ask Tim to move it.

Re: Disabling the Test, Experimental and Multimedia repositories

Hopefully the sticky post is "how to NOT break your system"! If it links to the Debian wiki entry " Don't Break Debian ", it's referring to the Debian testing, experimental, and deb-multimedia repositories, which many beginners add in the hope of getting the latest shiny new versions of programs ins...

Re: Audacity 2.3.0 Test Repos ... A no-go

Thanks for the update, and am glad to see it wasn't just our packaging. I'll go back to 2.2.2 on my separate multimedia repo on the OBS also, then.

Re: Missing mouse theme integration in QT applications

Root has its own theming. You'll have to run the appearance settings as root to set the cursor theme--for KDE, "kdesu systemsettings5" if you've set the symlink for kdesu as has been suggested in the past.

Re: Ad blocking extension

I stumbled upon this a couple of weeks ago > Incognito Adblocker > Firefox extension. I downloaded and ran it, and my first thoughts were that this was uBlock Origin with a different gui. I went to the website half expecting it to be a gorhill project that I'd missed the news about, but it was not....

Re: Package request: browser-plugin-freshplayer-pepperflash

What is this "backported package" you installed? Backporting doesn't mean to try and install the Buster and Sid versions--it means to rebuild the package from the source code on your platform so it becomes compatible with your libraries. I haven't linked to the backported version I did yet...I'm fin...
