Re: Wine and Play on Linux stopped working after update

Code: Select all

 libgl1-mesa-glx:i386 (18.2.6-1~mx17+1)
that's critical for running 32-bit 3D programs on 64-bit; no doubt why wine isn't working. Try to reinstall it.

Re: Apparently I am not using intel graphics or modesetting

It doesn't matter if you have that intel driver installed; "inxi -G" will show what you're using, as in the OP:

Code: Select all

Display: x11 server: X.Org 1.19.2 driver: modesetting
But you need it installed to switch to "intel", which is why we have it installed by default.

A patched 4.19.5 kernel for MX 18 that is supposed to fix some rare instances of ext4 file corruption.
Stevo are you taking about the 4.19.5.2~mx17+1 or newer ? Thanks
Yes, the difference between 4.19.5-1 and 4.19.5-2 is the patch.

Re: samsung galaxy s7 photo transfer - Shotwell no longer works

Is your new phone a newer model than what you had working before?
A lot of times a newer device will need a newer libgphoto2 to support it--Stretch's dates back to 2016.

Re: Boot to a new kernel 4.19.5-2 mx17.1 [SOLVED]

Ahh--that means antiX is controlling GRUB, not MX, so you have to update your GRUB from inside antiX--unless you install GRUB from in MX with MX Boot Repair.

Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team

NixNote2 2.1.1 for MX 15/16 and 17.

Whoops, MX 15 builds fail, source has a function that's only in Qt >= 5.4. Found a patch for that, but now it needs a newer poppler...

Re: Update Request: NixNote 2.0.2

Adapted the 2.2.0 proposed for Debian Experimental to build the 2.1.1 release, and it's headed for the test repo.

Re: Help installing newest Nvidia driver

If using Vulkan or proton for games. idk although on Nvidia page its saying that driver 390.87 is above 396.54 but it is a ways down. I will give it a shot. Now has that sgfxi script been updated lately i k...

Re: Liquorix: Lore of the Tux art

Liquorix is based on the Zen kernel patchset, so the resemblance is not a coincidence.
