Re: MX 15/16 Repository: The YACReader Thread

I believe you're allowed to just install a package-config file from the debian folder if the source doesn't include one.

Re: woogaloo (beta): GUI for performing hodgepodge system tasks

Clearing the system logs does not seem to affect MX Updater's history feature. It does affect it if there's more than a month's worth of logs. It (woogaloo) uses the following command to find candidates for removal: find /var/log -type f \( -iname \*.gz -o -iname \*.0 -o -iname \*.1 \) 2>/dev/null ...

Re: MX 15/16 Repository: The YACReader Thread

Awesome! I'll check it out, and try to reproduce the build. I see some "gn" builds failed because of no debhelper 10, but you can get that and dh-autoreconf from jessie-backports and add that for the affected distros, allowing for the fact that the OBS doesn't allow the "+" symbo...

Re: MX 15 Repository: The Wine-staging Thread

We now have rolled 3.6 into the test repository. Changes inherited from Vanilla Wine 3.6 include:

Support for PNG format icons.
Support for 1D textures.
More infrastructure for high DPI support.
OLE data cache improvements.
Various bug fixes.

Re: MX17.1 - Unable to Installation of Vidcutter

We lost libmpv1 >= 0.27 in the test repo until ffmpeg releases 3.5 and Debian packages. I'll rebuild Vidcutter against the libmpv 0.26 in the main repo, and that should fix the dependencies. Update: vidcutter actually only depends on lipmpv1, with no version, so I would say that the test repo has no...

Re: No HDMI audio & some HiDPI glitches

It looks like you can scale up VLC with this command export QT_SCALE_FACTOR=2 && vlc but that scales up everything, including fonts if already have them at a nice size. If it's too big, try a factor of 1.5, and so on. If it works, you can create a script to launch vlc like that and edit the ...

Re: is there a way to globally change the hilight color ?

As far as I know, it's set in the theme itself. Some themes like Arc are compiled, so you have change the colors before building them, while I believe in others you can modify text/css files manually, even after they are installed. We have Qt set to use the GTK theme automatically, so if you change ...

Re: Cannot find packages in newly installed MX17

Maybe it was just a bad Debian mirror that they fixed, then. Could you edit the title of your first post in the thread to add [SOLVED], then? Thanks in advance.
