Re: Installing latest Nvidia drivers cripples Xorg and apt-get

ddm-mx does try to install the matching 32-bit Mesa libraries if you have a 64-bit system in order to be ready for 32-bit 3D apps, but maybe it only opens the test repo enough to get the Nvidia drivers and not the matching Mesa 18.3.2 32-bit packages, which it seems you had already upgraded for 64-b...

Re: Lagging horribly bad 10fps or less

Those missing desklettes may need to be reinstalled from within Cinnamon.

You should also have Conky Manager, since it's installed by default in MX. I hope you weren't trying to install it from its PPA, after having been warned not to use those.

Re: MX 15 Repository: The Audacity Thread.

Audacity 2.3.2 has landed in the test repo. Changes/fixes include New ‘Select’ button in the track panel to select the whole track. Audacity mod-script-pipe for driving Audacity from Python now comes with Audacity and can be enabled via preferences. Type to Create a Label is now off by default. A pl...

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The Handbrake Thread

Updated to 1.2.2 in the test repo, but this time it's built against Mesa 18.2.6 in our main repo. If you need a 64-bit build against the 18.3.2 Mesa and other libraries in the test repo to keep va-api hardware encoding working, let me know and I'll roll one, or stick with your working 1.2.1, since t...

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The Virtual Box Thread

We have now updated to Virtualbox 6.0.8 in the test repo and 5.2.30 in the Experimental repo, for those that prefer the 5.2.X series.

Re: MX 17/18 Repository: The TLP and TLPUI Thread

MXPI hung up while notification "tlp conf" has changed, what will you choose, or i`ve been impatiently. After reboot synaptic shows me 18 updates, started. Notification: You have to reconfigure dpkg list..., done and everything is working. tlpui is working, after first short look: Can`t edit Disk: ...

Re: Installing latest Nvidia drivers stifles Xorg and apt-get

Mesa 18.3.2, which you've installed, is in the test repo. You'll need to re-enable the test repo to pull in other matching libraries without ending up removing packages. The easy way to do this is in the repo manager.

It sounds like you tried the sgfxi script instead of the MX Nvidia installer, too.

Re: Virtualbox 6 dark theme issues

Actually, I just sent up 5.2.30 to replace 5.2.28 in the experimental repo. Works fine so far for me.

Re: Virtualbox 6 dark theme issues

--style gtk and --style qt also work. If you mess around with the second and qt5ct, you can even get it to display in a dark theme. Did you check out the forum thread for the 6.0.6 update? Or we have an update to the 5.2.28 release in the experimental repo, which just follows the theme automatically.
