Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team

qBittorrent 4.1.3 for MX 17 I saw a mention of PCManfm-qt being a lightning-fast file manager, so I managed to backport 0.13.0 from Buster, but had to also backport some newer LXQT components to do so. So I'm now looking into how difficult backporting the rest of LXQT would be. I also see that Pale ...

Re: Flatpack apps

try installing libgl1-nvidia-glx:i386 from debian backports. That has to match the 64-bit version, but stretch-backports (and now our test repo) has 390.77 instead of 390.67, so the 64-bit version should be updated first. This is assuming the Nvidia driver was installed from when 390.67 in backports.

Re: MX Tools fonts

We have MX's Qt5 apps, such as Tools, set to use the same theme and fonts as GTK+ apps as long as you're using XFCE.

Re: Flatpack apps

It seems that many flatpaks require either a logout and login, or even a full reboot, before they will start working from the menu.

Re: Can't connect to the internet via public library connection

Many libraries now make you go through a terms and conditions page in the browser after connecting before you will be able to connect to the Net. If the browser doesn't bring up the page automatically, try going to neverssl.com to see if that brings it up. Or are you asking how to scan for and conne...

Re: Distrowatch reveiw grumbles

Google is killing off the 6.0.3 version of Google Earth that Debian's googleearth-package script/MXPI was downloading, so they no longer have it available for download. We're looking into having MXPI use the new 7.3 GE Pro that they offer instead.

Just tried to install the flatpack steam app, looks as though it installed OK but will not start from the menu.
This thread is for the newer Flatpak in our testing repo. Questions about flatpak applications and the MX installer should be in their own threads.

MX 17 Repository: The Flatpak Thread

After updating flatpak to 1.0.1 in our main repo to support the new features in MX Package Installer, we now have flatpak 1.0.2 available in our test repository. Changes in 1.0.2 The dbus proxy is now available in a separate git module, xdg-dbus-portal, which is imported into flatpak as a submodule....

Re: MX 17 Repository: The Liquorix Kernel Thread

OK, nvidia-driver 390.77 is ported over from backports to our test repo, so I hope it's now installable.
