Re: youtube-dl no more?
I don't understand why people think it's okay to record copyrighted material from YouTube. It's stealing unless you're choosing Public Domain, Copyleft or Creative Commons material. You are stealing from songwriters and artists (among others) who are paid by each view/stream. How would you feel if p...

Re: Just want to say I love MX KDE!
MX KDE has turned out to be an excellent distro for me. I had never used KDE regularly and thought I'd give MX's version a try. The more I played and explored, the more I liked it. Fast, low on resources, having all the MX tools available and so easy to configure, I installed it. I'm running everyth...

Re: MX 19.2 KDE configured
Really sharp, clean looking desktop - the wallpaper is awesome as well.
I really like the system widget in the top panel. What is it? Thanks.

Re: DW reviews MX-19 KDE
On two Lenovo T430 laptops with identical SSDs, CPUs and RAM, the KDE version takes 4 seconds or so longer to boot. Chris I don't mean to belabor this but I understood Jesse's quote as referring to loading the desktop from the login screen versus booting: "The KDE edition installed successfull...

Re: DW reviews MX-19 KDE
A bit of nitpicking here regarding Jesse's brief review - "Setting up MX's KDE edition is almost identical to setting up MX's Xfce edition..." That was not my experience at all. Setting up MX KDE is a whole different animal :) "When I signed into the Plasma session the desktop loaded ...

Re: (LightDM) Unable to reach the desktop when I wake up my laptop
I'm having a similar problem with MX19 since the day I installed.. I'd written a lot in MX19 Feedback thread.. Black screen with only the mouse pointer.. Only Ctrl Alt Backspace works .. also as you mentioned Ctrl Alt F1 or F2 ... then startx . But with these you lose the last session.. (also press...

Re: Update to PIA VPN
I've seen several references to PIA v83 in this thread but find no such version on the PIA website (I'm currently running v82). Have they taken v83 down or am I just not seeing it?

Re: Update to PIA VPN
Just to add....PIA 1.0.2 would not install for me and I went back to v82. The new version has a very cool and much improved interface imo so I was looking forward to using it on my MX Linux box.......

Re: Do you use Thunderbird? Have you heard???
Thanks for the update manyroads. I had no idea a new interface was in the works. Thunderbird is installed on my MX Linux, Windows and Mac home machines and has been for a long time. I love the functionality but the look is boring and dated imo. Monterail looks modern and fresh....looking forward to ...
