Sorry for the delay... but if you really, really want to use the ancient Thunderbird version, you can dredge the internet to see if you are able to find an old appimage to use. That 'might' work. At least it will be better isolated from everything else that it might break.

Building an unsupportable environment is not always the best approach. Be aware that ancient applications can be very insecure... but this is Linux, do as you wish.

keos Flat-Remix-gtk is handled just like any gtk theme. nwg is for use to chnage gtk3 on Wayland only, so far as I know. To quote:

FWIW Calibre informs users of available updates (plugins or versions). I find it a simple task to add the following to update calibre (on arch and/or debian sid). I update my system and clean it once a day all via script. In the last 10 years or so, I have had no problems, but I'm probably just luck...
