"Fedora The Fedora project might be the first Linux distribution to ship a desktop spin that includes the COSMIC desktop. COSMIC is a young desktop environment developed by System76 and written in Rust. COSMIC was developed by System76 for its own Pop!_OS distribution and a team is working on p...

nwg is for use to chnage gtk3 on Wayland only, so far as I know. To quote:
"Nwg-look is a GTK3 settings editor, designed to work properly in wlroots-based Wayland environment."

Re: calibre-helper updates do not upgrade Calibre
FWIW Calibre informs users of available updates (plugins or versions). I find it a simple task to add the following to update calibre (on arch and/or debian sid). I update my system and clean it once a day all via script. In the last 10 years or so, I have had no problems, but I'm probably just luck...

Re: Lightdm default session
Just a related question, perhaps someone can tell me how to set the default to the last DE/wm used? Thus if I at initial login start with openbox and logout (to the lightdm screen) openbox will appear as the default until I manually select fluxbox. Then fluxbox would continue as the default until I ...

Re: Virtualbox guest addiction on MX Linux 23.2 [Solved]
There are all manner of options... as I mentioned earlier i believe the easiest to use is gnome-boxes. Adding to that virt-manager is very simple as well. VBox is probably third in ease (my opinions all).

Re: Virtualbox guest addiction on MX Linux 23.2 [Solved]
VirtualBox should be agnostic (not care 'much') about the Guest OS versions you install (Linux, Windows, Apple). Most of the time that works out. Try installing what you want and see how it works. If it doesn't work try another OS version or check with the VBox Forums for specific issues on your exp...

Re: Papirus Folders Colors
I'm no expert but could there be a qt/ gtk conflict? I always encounter them but am always using gtk as the dominant choice. I assume because @richb is use KDE it may be the other way round. I don't know how happy qt/kde might be with that.
Okay, back under my rock.
