Re: external HDMI monitor reports no signal with Radeon card
Long story short...no change at all. Updated to the latest firmware from the kernel.org git, file dated 20230404. reinstalled liquorix kernel, headers, all recommended, kept the log, etc. updated again (ironically, the only thing needing updating was...featherpad itself!) rebooted...and nothing. two...

Re: external HDMI monitor reports no signal with Radeon card
Sorry if I was unclear. The machine boots just fine...the loading bar on the laptop screen runs to completion, and I log in no problem. What I meant was that the loading bar briefly appears on the attached monitor, then that external monitor goes blank, and says "no signal," and goes into ...

run with systemd options have disappeared!
Hi all, I run MX with systemd lately, not SysVInit, because of a particular service I need. For some reason, that option simply disappeared the other day...I could choose among different kernels, but none of them showed the "with systemd" option in the grub menu. Something... I don't know ...

Re: external HDMI monitor reports no signal with Radeon card
Does the fact that the loading bar appeared, however briefly, suggest that this is an issue with lightdm? I get past GRUB ok, and I'm not sure where lightdm takes over, or where errors might be logged...

Re: external HDMI monitor reports no signal with Radeon card
Based on my experiences with my HP with my Ryzen powered HP 15, you should use MX Package Installer (MXPI), the Enabled Repos tab, to install the Liquorix 6.2,6 kernel and headers, Make sure that you also select to install the recommended packages. there are also Liquorix 6.2.9 (and newer) kernels ...

Re: external HDMI monitor reports no signal with Radeon card
Going to need a Quick System Info ( QSI ) on that machine please. Here you go...what do you see? I'm using systemd, by the way, in order to manage the battery charge on this ASUS laptop. external HDMI monitor reports no signal with Radeon card
Hello all, I have a new Zephyrus G14 (2022) with a Radeon 6700s video card, in addition to the onboard graphics of the Ryzen 9 6900HS CPU (APU?) I'm dual booting Win11 and MX 21.3 with kernel 6.1. The monitor is detected by the Windows side, but not the MX side...xrandr reports HDMI not detected. I ...

Re: How to limit battery charging? [Solved]
I believe that tlp only works on Dell laptops. The whole question is largely dependent on brand. ASUS (I have a Zephyrus G14 2022) provides software that limits charging to 60 or 80%, but it only works on the Windows side. The commands to do it are simple enough, but I hate having to issue them ever...
