Re: Another program that doesn't work.

Thanks for trying to help but it didn't make a difference, still not getting any recording done. The tutorial I followed was on StackExchange for the Debian version. As for this claim that they can change... where do these teams get their ideas from? NEVER heard anything so ridiculous in my life. YO...

I opened the terminal and popped in the command... sudo apt-get install vnstat and the program installed. I input the command to get it running by pointing to the device I want monitored, namely eth0 and then set the command so that it runs as a service. in two days, nothing. Not a jot has been tall...

Re: Scanner Issues

I have a CanoScan LIDE n650 scanner that has worked under every linux distro that has had it thrown at it with the exception of one distro based around Fedora. Working under MX Linux is sketchy at best. Load the bundled scanner and it will sometimes read the device but not scan from it, it crashes a...

Re: Trying to work the AUDIO problem...

Audio was returned to normal by an uncoventional means. I found a cheap USB audio card that I had bought for another PC that had a broken mic input. I inserted the card, got audio out of it, so plugged the audio back in to the port it was originally on... Got audio. When the USB was inserted, I note...

Re: Trying to work the AUDIO problem...

Still non the wiser. So what I did was plugged in an external sound card, got sound out, unplugged it and plugged the line in back in to the speaker port of the laptop... Sound coming out. The 3D USB sound device is a plug and play device. There is no software to install. However, inserting it in to...

Re: MX on the Laptop

The bchemnet repo is a repo you added on your own. It is not a default repo, so any updates that originate from that source may affect the proper running of your MX system. A Google search would indicate that this is a third party repo that is not linked to Samsung in any way. https://www.bchemnet....
