Update:

NordVPN seems to got its act together again. I am now able to connect to their servers via Network Manager once again.

I just wonder if you need a swap partition of that size. I guess the recommended size is somewhere around the actual size of your RAM.

Definitely the SSD for the speed. I've got a 25 GB root partition and that's more than enough for my use case.

If "uname -a" shows kernel version 4.19.0-1 (4.19.5) or earlier, use MX Package Installer to reinstall or install the 4.19 kernel, which will update to the current 4.19.0-5 (4.19.37) MX kernel.
