Re: Kali Linux

No disrespect intended to Sparky but it's strange to my way of thinking, that he's happy to use Linux instead of Windows, and knows about MX and Debian but doesn't realise how Linux started out, as an alternative system designed by hackers who wanted to create something different to run-of-the-mill ...

The following .... are invalid

I had noticed this last week before the kernel update episode raised it's head. I understand that we must not do any updates until the gurus give the 'all clear' but is there something I can do to get rid of the " following signatures were invalid " message in the meantime? I'm running mx Kernel: 4....

Re: What exactly is the kernel/update issue?

My lack of technology comprehension I guess!

Re: Installation problems - again

When you boot from the live ISO you are creating a live version of MX in your RAM so it needs to know your keyboard and time preferences. If you then install the system from the ISO you are creating another version of MX, but this time on your hard drive, this is separate from the live version in yo...

Re: [Bots] on this forum

If you don't like it you can always opt for something/somewhere else. Indeed! You can get a full refund of the purchase price of MX-Linux if you are dissatisfied. A lot of unpaid volunteers have worked very hard on their own time to create this awesome free operating system that for most people can...

Re: Scanning documents is very slow

I can (and do) use two scanners, one is an HP Officejet 6310 all in one and the other a Mustek 1200 UB. I connect both by USB cable and although the HP is capable of scanning and printing without a computer I don't use that facility. The Mustek is pure magic in that it takes it's power direct from t...
