The suggestion to 1st restore the default panel followed by choosing the horizontal option worked perfectly!

Just installed MX23.2 on a laptop and changed the panel to horizontal and at the bottom. I expected an Application Menu at the extreme left position of the panel but there was none. Is there a way to get the Application Menu to be visible in the lower left corner? It's currently visible in the panel...

I will recreate the live USB using the GPT partition option.
The desktop does not show the USB drive at all during the boot-up. So I hope GPT
