Re: When attaching a USB drive, prompted with "You are not authorized to mount this device."
When I click on the checkbox and then click Apply, the checkbox becomes unchecked. I suspect this is symptomatic of the same problem. An application is requesting elevated privileges and not getting a response. When I run 'sudo mx-tweak' from the command line, the checkbox stays checked after I clic...

Re: When attaching a USB drive, prompted with "You are not authorized to mount this device."
I think this may be a PolicyKit issue. When I attempt to run Disk Manager from the menu, nothing happens. When I run it from the command line via: /usr/bin/disk-manager-launcher I get prompted for my password. Once I enter it, I get the message: polkit-agent-helper-1: error response to PolicyKit dae...

When attaching a USB drive, prompted with "You are not authorized to mount this device."
I've recently installed MX 23.1 KDE. When I insert a USB drive, I'm prompted to mount it. When I do, I get the message "You are not authorized to mount this device." If I click on the drive in Dolphin, I get the message "An error occurred while accessing 'backup', the system responded...

Re: Mullvad VPN version 2023.4 will not run under MX Linux 19.4
It reverted to 2023.3. I don't think 2023.4 will work unless GLIBC 2.29 can be ported to 19.4. Or if there's some way to trick the mullvad app into thinking that GLIB 2.28 is equivalent to 2.29.

Re: Mullvad VPN version 2023.4 will not run under MX Linux 19.4
I was about to post that it didn't work, and that I couldn't see how it would work since sed wasn't changing the file. But you edited your post first! And it works! Version 2023.3 was downloaded and installed over the non-functioning 2023.4.
Thank you, fehlix!

Mullvad VPN version 2023.4 will not run under MX Linux 19.4
I used MXPI to upgrade Mullvad VPN from 2023.3 to the latest version (2023.4). It installed without errors, but mullvad-daemon won't run. The error is: mullvad-daemon: /lib/x86_64-linux-gnu/libc.so.6: version `GLIBC_2.29' not found (required by mullvad-daemon) The latest version of GLIBC I could fin...

Re: Package request for Keepassxc 2.7.0
I'm using MX 19, and I used the MX Package Installer to get the 2.7.4 version. You have to click on the "MX Test Repo" tab and then search for keepassxc.

Re: Personal comment
I think PulseEffects (or it's current incarnation EasyEffects) has a nice frequency equalizer, if I understand the term. And that's just one of its modules. PulseEffects is available via the MX Package Installer in MX-19. I'm not running MX-21 yet, so I don't know if it uses the newer EasyEffects a...
