Re: New SSD acting up - is this normal?

Once upon a time, hard disk drives were something like a massive 1 or 3 or maybe even 10 GB in size. Yep, I sort of remember those days. I was a kid and proud owner of Atari 520STM with at that time powerful 8 Bit Motorola 68000 CPU. CPU could be used for military purposes and it was banned for cer...

Re: New SSD acting up - is this normal?

Formatted it to ext4. Thanks didn't know, first time using 2T SSD. Didn't ever see this on several 1TB SSD's
But it explains the flashing led. 30-40 minutes seems lots for empty drive though. ;-) Plus that initial error...

New SSD acting up - is this normal?

* I hope I posted this in the proper forum - it is not MX related question, but off topic - SSD I replaced my Cruical MX 500 1TB data disk with the brand new one, same brand and model, but 2TB. One data partition only. I created partition table (gpt) in Gparted, and formated it. Then I restarted com...

Re: Cherrytree hierarchical note taking application 1.0.4 for MX 21 and 23 test.

OP is vague which never helps :( In case if helps, I've installed version 1.04 as soon as it was available in MXPI and my icons set looks different. Since those on screenshots are from previous version (0.99), I'm guessing, OP want this different set, that shows on my copy of Cherrytree?!? Funny thi...

Re: Can I boot as non UEFI from snapshot created on UEFI machine [Solved]

I marked this one as solved, now that I got confirmation, that ISO's should work in either mode regardless. In this case it has to be some kind of mechanical problem. Which is quite refreshing and encouraging, since error is usually somewhere between the keyboard and the chair. ;-) This subject is s...

Re: Can I boot as non UEFI from snapshot created on UEFI machine [Solved]

Thanks fehlix appreciate all the info. My bad, I should say this in original post, I tried with latest stock MX23.2 iso and it is not being recognized either. I'd probaly first try whether you can boot with the a released MX-ISO. But try first the LiveUSB with an relased MX-ISO to check whether this...

Re: Can I boot as non UEFI from snapshot created on UEFI machine [Solved]

You just need to write the iso to usb in msdos (aka mbr) mode (non GPT) and it should be able to boot tha (The default is already set to that. GPT is available when you select it via Advanced Options in MX LUM) Thanks Ignore previous msg, I didn't see this part. Well in this case, something is wron...
